twelve-tone technique (original, inverse, retrograde and retrograde inverse tone rows).
Recall that, according to the twelve-tone technique devised by Schönberg, a tone row consist of 12 notes, all different. Here, however, you can also use non-standard tone row, formed from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 18 notes. You can also allow not all the notes are different from each other (only choice if you have more than 12 notes).
